On October 4, 2019, the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR) conducted a public hearing to discuss NCCI’s proposed overall average statewide workers' compensation premium decrease of 5.4% with an effective date of January 1, 2020. NCCI, who files on behalf of Florida’s workers’ compensation insurance companies, submitted the rate filing on August 27, 2019.
