Insurance Commissioner Altmaier Statement on Governor DeSantis Signing SB 1058, Property Insurer Reimbursements

Fla. - Today, the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR)
released the following statement thanking Governor DeSantis for signing SB
1058, Property Insurer Reimbursements:
“I
commend Governor DeSantis, CFO Patronis, President Simpson, and Speaker Sprowls
for their leadership on SB 1058. This legislation helps protect consumers by
facilitating private market solutions for policyholders of unsound insurers and
eliminating potential coverage gaps for collateral protection insurance
policies. I am thankful to Senator Hutson and Representative Stevenson for
spearheading this effort,” said Insurance
