Market Research and Technology Unit

The Market Research and Technology Unit is responsible for data collections, data analysis, market research and reporting, application maintenance and support, and technology innovation and planning. Its internal organizational structure includes the following sections: Market Data Collections (MDC), Market Research and Reporting (MRR), and Technology and Strategic Initiatives (TSI).

MDC initiates data calls in the form of surveys and data collections, validates collected data, and provides for efficient data retrieval means through the use of systems technology and optimized database design. This section is responsible for ensuring that data collections and validations are performed using all required standards and with the highest systems and data integrity possible.

MRR provides the most thorough use of available data and reporting techniques through the use of systems technology and optimized database design. This section is responsible for ensuring that all reporting needs are met, and that data is stored or staged so that reports can be easily provided and requests satisfied.

TSI evaluates technology projects, advises and recommends the best automation strategies, implements systems solutions, and actively engages in projects of a technology nature that will benefit the public or the units or functions of the Office.
